Bulto of the Virgin Mary (La Purisima), probably from Mexico, carved, gilded and painted wood, acquired by the Museum 1917. The statue is three-dimensional interpretation of painting La Inmaculada concepción de los Venerables o de Soult by Bartolomé Esteban Murillo (1617-1682), a Spanish painter.
